The Location

At one point or another in our careers, we’ve all been told: “If you work really hard, you will reach the top.” The truth is, it’s not always about hard work. More often than not, there is a human element involved, making success highly subjective. This is exactly why we need a person who can open doors and advocate for you -- a sponsor.

A sponsor is inherently different from a mentor. With a mentor comes the promise of a safe space, friendly coffee dates, and support in navigating a career. But sponsorship offers something different.

A sponsor will stick their neck out to help you advance. If women truly want to accelerate their path to the top, understanding and applying the power of the sponsor is the key to individual success while also enjoying the same support and coffee dates that mentorship has to offer.

Join us on Wednesday, March 31 at 12:30 pm EST for a conversation on unlocking the secret of sponsorship. Our guest speakers share their individual stories and experiences with sponsorship. You will also get a chance to hear from pairs of sponsors and sponsees on what it has helped them achieve.

WIN "One on Ones" Sign Up

We are launching WIN One on Ones -- our pilot program designed to foster a stronger community by encouraging our members to exchange a piece of their wisdom with other fellow members. Whether you’ve returned to school, turned your hobby into a career, or negotiated a raise, we would love to hear from you!

Sign up here to share your experiences and donate two hours of your time in April to support a fellow WIN member. The deadline to sign up  is 3/25.

"Demystifying Sponsorship" on Clubhouse

If you are on Clubhouse, join us for an open discussion on demystifying sponsorship on Friday, March 26 at 5:00 pm EST.  You'll hear from folks who have sponsored, been sponsored, started their own sponsorship program at work and get a "behind the scenes" look in to how those relationships formed and fostered.

WIN "One on Ones" sessions

In April, community members who signed up to donate two hours of their time to share their experience, insights and expertise will get to meet other community members who signed up to meet with them.

Tech Details

What you'll need for our panel event:

- Laptop or desktop computer with functioning camera, microphone, and internet
- A nice quiet place to log in where you can actively speak and participate (we know it can be difficult to find a perfectly quiet spot at home, so all we ask is you do your best!)
- Zoom downloaded on your computer. Note--if you are unable to download Zoom, you can also join the link from your browser (Chrome or Edge work best). Please allow for an additional 5 minutes before the session starts to get it set up.

We highly recommend using a laptop or desktop for this session since we will be using Zoom to come together as a community. Please make sure you’ll be ready to use this service before the session begins.
